Summer Weather in Scandinavia

Among some, the weather in Scandinavia has a reputation for being cold and windy, but this really only applies to some northern locations during the winter months. Actually, summers in Scandinavia offer very mild, warm weather with plenty of sunshine (or even ONLY sunshine if you travel during the time of the Midnight Sun)!

When I plan my trips, I always find it interesting to see what my destination's weather is like during that month. After all, it's a part of good travel planning:

Each summer, the Karlshamn Baltic Festival - Östersjöfestivalen in Swedish - attracts performers and artists from the regions around the Baltic Sea. During this time in July, Karlshamn's streets are full with musicians offering great music that can fit anyone's taste (jazz, blues, rock, even latin-american music!). In 2009, it takes place July 15-18. More about this interesting festival here.
